Why would Human Resources be Interested in EmployeeBridge?

COBRA Alternatives

COBRA premiums cost the individual 102% of the total premium and the claims remain on the employer group even though the individual no longer provides a benefit to the company.

When an employee loses their job-based insurance, they may be offered COBRA continuation coverage. Our Transition Specialists understand COBRA continuation coverage and its alternatives.*

Dependents Age 26

Young adults often still need their parent’s support and can stay on their parent’s employer plan until the end of the month when they turn 26. When children age off a parent’s plan, they’re automatically allowed to enroll in a marketplace plan as a special enrollment. We can help dependents turning 26 find the most affordable options given their unique needs. HR can provide helpful EmployeeBridge information.

Growing Families

Perhaps your employee got married and is now a blended family, or just had a newborn... the family-tier premiums can be expensive.

Employers want to provide affordable group insurance for all employees. However, if an employee is struggling financially, offering EmployeeBridge to learn about alternatives shows the employee that the employer cares.

Working Past 65

If an employee plans to keep working past age 65 and needs to compare their employer’s group plan with Medicare options, we can help. Our Transition Specialists can assist with Medicare Supplement plans.

Medicare 101 seminars prior to the company's annual open enrollment makes sense. Afterwards, confidential 1:1 consultation gives older workers the help they need.

Retirement

HR can offer employees services to help them transition to retirement. The employee is more likely to give a long notice period and cooperate with the succession plan, training a replacement, etc.

Offering free services to understand Medicare and Medicare supplement options shows the retiring employee that the employer appreciates their service.
